Wednesday Health Tip - Green Things
Did you know that not all vegetables are created equal? There are "starchy" vegetables that can contain a lot of carbohydrates, such as potatoes and peas, and there are fibrous vegetables that you can pretty much eat as many as you want, and these include broccoli, cucumbers, cauliflower, mushrooms, spinach, zucchini, and several others.
Authors Note: When I was a kid, I used to hate cooked vegetables. I would tell my Mom while she was cooking, "I don't want any green things!!" Finally, one day she got fed up with me whining, dumped my entire plate of food on my head, and said, "I didn't give you any !%#^$ green things!!"
